Claymore 2012

This event was held on Saturday 4th August, 2012, at Edinburgh’s Telford College

We managed to get a good location in the main hall and the demo table had quite a lot of interest. The table was busy all day.

All the five factions we took (Gladiators, Junkers,Syntha, V.A.S.A, Viridians) had a fair amount of playtime.

Not only did we play a lot people, we also drew interest from passer-bys. The games and the people were fantastic and we could also have a little chat with them. The feedback we had was only positive. Even younger kids (under 10) found the rules easy to learn and the game fast and great fun.
It was a great event to get to talk to traders, players and other gaming groups and let them know the future releases for Urban War, and arranging Demo days with their gaming clubs.
I would like to thank SESWC for setting up this great event.

Myself  and Roland were visited buy none other than the Emperor of the Urban mammoth empire himself John Robertson and iconic artist Adrian Smith.

Turnout was good and I was able to get a couple of games of Urban War in; one starter set game with new people and another big game against Kedric (Wynxii on the forums). It was a great night of gaming and the response was highly positive.

John Hood Demoed Urban War V2 at the Stevenage 1st Company Wargames Club on the 21 May 2012.

Everyone who played the game enjoyed it and there was overwhelmingly positive feedback over the speed of play, quality of miniatures and the Demo tables.

There were a lot of questions about the direction of the system, particularly whether an experience system would be added for campaign play.

Carronade 2012 Urban war Demo

Carronade 2012  Urban war Demo

On the 5th of May 2012, I (Marc Smith aka Kenzie from the UW forums) ran Demo games at the Carronade gaming event being hosted by the Falkirk District Wargames Club

A game in action

All in all a fantastic event with people wanting  to play more than one game with different factions. On the day the Junkers and the Syntha were favourites.
I was busy most of the day, leaving me little time to take more pictures.

Demo event at the Sudbury & District Wargames Club
 : Part one

On Friday the 27th of April in the Sudbury (Suffolk UK) area

Photos of my (brown36) demo event (I'm running a part the second next week as it generated excess interest I couldn't cater for!)

First up my demo board, built in readiness for this and future events!

And again at night!
Dave and Eamonn giving it a go
(both of them purchased starter sets from Ryan!)

Adam being probably the most agressive Triad player of the night! Charge!
I got a bit carried away to be honest and didn't get many photos! I had loads of interest though with three people making purchases on the night and at least four more signed up for next week!
